About TurboJav kitsThrowing Zone Athletics (TZA), LLC, is located in Cranston, RI. The concept behind this company began in South Africa in 1990. It was at that point that the co-founder, Tom Petranoff, invented the Turbo Jav©™., This safe javelin has been coupled with other throwing equipment, training, and coaching programs to form the basic product and service offering of TZA. The company has successfully marketed their products and services throughout the United States and Internationally. The most vivid example is that the United States Track and Field Association (USATF), AAU Junior Olympics and the International Special Olympics have made the Turbo Jav©™ an official event. TZA continues to help athletes of the world better prepare themselves for athletic competition, safety, fun, and core strength programs to prevent injury and build self esteem.

Mission
TZA views its mission to educate, motivate and share our knowledge while increasing the use of productive training for all athletes and helping them to realize the maximum benefit of their potential. TZA is building long term relationships with coaches, instructors and athletes through quality training and good information.

Products and Services
TZA products include the Turbo Jav©™, Turbo Disc, Turbo Shot, Turbo Medball , targets, bags, DVD training videos, lesson plans, and tee shirts. There are currently seven versions of Turbo Jav©™ available: -Turbo Jav 300 gram and 400 gram for elementry and Special Olympics, 500gram and 600 gram for middle schools and TurboSpiers 700 gram and 800 gram for high schools

Our service offerings are centered on preparing and conducting clinics as well developing and monitoring athlete training. In the last three years we have conducted many clinics in all over USA . The TZA website provides capability for online training, athlete evaluation, resources for coaching certifications, video evaluation, and nutrition advice.

Marketing Sales and Strategy
Throwing Zone Athletics differentiates itself in the sports market by aiming to satisfy not only current athletes and coaches in the sport but potential ones. The company does this through coaching clinics and online training with programs like, Special Olympics, Junior Olympics, Adaptive PE, Special Education, Parks and Recreation, Track and Field Clubs and after school programs. These customers are marketed to by catalog sales from our distributors, Internet Sales, Event Sales, Email Marketing and Promotion, and Direct calls. Product recognition and branding help drive customers to our product. Existing relationships with distributors allow our product to be marketed and sold through distributors' marketing mediums

Competition
The patent and trademark protection provides the business with a significant barrier to other direct competitors. Currently there is no other company with the ability to directly serve the Junior Olympic and Special Olympic market place. We have a unique opportunity to expand our presence into other underserved markets: Parks and recreation organizations, Middle and Elementary schools, etc.
